It has never been the intention of this blog to enter the political arena by commenting on events or offering an opinion other than the quality of a pen or a pencil. However, as we enter the period where stores are pushing their ‘back to school’ lines, a couple of articles caught our eye and we thought they might be of interest to our readers.
New research by STABILO, a leading provider of writing instruments, shows that nearly 80% of children have experienced some pain and discomfort while writing. The research was conducted over a 3 month period between November 2009 and January 2010 and involved 637 students who were between the ages of 10 and 29 years old.

Being a bit of a gadget freak on the quiet I was quite intrigued and clicked on the link looking forward to seeing what this new pen was all about.
There was an excellent story recently in the Sunday Times which highlights the development and history of Faber Castell. Who will be celebrating their 250th anniversary next year!
