This Uni-ball Gel Impact has a broad 1.0mm ball.  My first impression was that the black, silver & smokey grey barrel looked stylish.  It is complimented by the silver nib housing & the rubber grip is comfortable to hold.

As the ink in gel pens is opaque & thick it tends to write a bold clear line, I liked the fact that the black ink was very intense.

I have always made a point of keeping a pen & paper in my car.  This morning, I was pleased to be able to reach into my glove compartment & pick up a Pilot Rexgrip.  Whilst taking a steady drive to the shops, somebody decided to try to park in my boot.

• A man who robbed a Walgreens pharmacy in South Carolina this summer apparently wasn’t fully prepared for job.

Greenwood Today reported that Robert Sexton, 33, walked into the drug store and went to the pharmacy counter, where he asked a clerk if he could borrow an ink pen. She handed one over – and he used it to write a robbery note to her.
